Search optimisation

What is "Search Engine Optimisation"?

One moment please.... "Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a web site or a web page in search engines via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Other forms of search engine marketing (SEM) target paid listings. In general, the earlier (or higher on the page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic." Source: Wikipedia

So what does that mean?

It means that you're putting your best foot forward in order to be recognised as a credible, authoritative website by search engines. It means that you're increasing the likelihood of your website being found by potential customers. It also means that a lot of hard work and time has gone into making your website the best it can be.

There are no free rides when it comes to Search Engine Optimisation.

What do you mean no free rides?

You heard it. No free rides. Everybody wants to be No.1 on Google for 'something'. But if everybody's chasing the same goal it means the bar keeps getting raised higher and higher. This is big business... how big? BIG. Imagine the value of the leads that could come to your business just via the click of a mouse. Is it any wonder that everybody's chasing No.1 keyword rankings.

So what you can do?

Yes - thank you for asking (or perhaps thinking it). We can do one of 2 things;

1) Start afresh - when we build a new website for your business we can develop a plan to make sure we have the foundations in place, right from the beginning. Then we can work with you to develop a plan for managing your online business over the longer term.

2) Do a refresh - now this is tricky stuff, but good stuff. We'll make an assessment of your current website and provide a series of recommendations. But we're not going to stop there - we'll map out how we can implement those recommendations and provide guidance on what areas are achievable and how this can be managed.

Why you?

Because we've recruited some clever, clevers. So of course it's not me (i.e Director No.1 from eTradingGroup), we admit, the establishment of this company could be seen as the new kid in town. However we are surrounded by some clever oldies, and some clever youngies! And we've pooled our experience to build plans that will help our clients businesses succeed.
