Optimising your website for local search needs a different strategic approach.

What is local search?

Go to google.com.au and in the search bar, type in (business type and city). Do you see the map right there with the top 7 list? It means showing up for a search on the internet which includes your location or area in the search phrase. You can try this by searching for "Sydney hotels".

Please note that 90% of searches done for your type of business start right here! And more importantly 75-85% of online visitors won't leave this page and go anywhere else. That's why Google and Bing put this list here and why you need to be here. If you know any of the businesses listed on this page, they are simply taking your business away.

Checklist - What we need from you to get started

ABN is crucial in local SEO - Address, Business name and Phone Number. That's how Google is going to understand you're a business.

1. Build citations at trusted sources, for example: True Local, Yellow Pages

2. Build more citations on top local directories, for example: HotFrog, Brownbook, Local.com.au

3. Set up Google Places and claim the listing: Optimized business description, choose the right category (not to get suspended), use the 'more details section' intelligently, perform citations competitive intelligence, ensure your citation is indexed.

We will include the relevant descriptions of your services including images, videos and visitor reviews if provided to those local portals and in Google Places. Being appropriately listed within these local information portals should give your local presence a real boost.

Ranking Factor

Reviews can be a critical factor in ranking well within Google Places, as well as propelling the business into the top ranking sites in 'Everything' search.

(Reviews are not the 'only' factor, so some Google Places listings with no reviews will still rank very well.)

No Guarantees, but...

We can't guarantee that you will double or triple your sales, but we can tell you that some well optimised, targeted businesses are getting an extra 100-150 calls per month.
